Video footage, uploaded by 6r4.net, of Tony Pond and Rob Arthur on the 1985 Autofit Stages rally in Argyll driving the Metro 6R4.
The pair were fastest on all the stages and won the event by over three minutes. It was the first time the ARM Metro, with the same V64V engine, appeared on an event with its new aerodynamic package and increased suspension travel.
Austin Rover Motorsport contested many British national rallies in 1985 as part of the development of the 6R4 before its WRC debut on that year's RAC Rally where Pond, of course, scored a famous 3rd overall.
