Keith Cronin and co-driver Greg Shinnors (pictured above) emerged victorious in the BRC encounter, after coming from behind, to take a dramatic final stage win to overhaul Mark Higgins. Cronin will be looking to emulate his fellow Corkman and mentor Billy Coleman who won the series back in 1974.
The ANCRO Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship section of the event, the Tour of Cumbria, had an equally exciting climax with Marcus Dodd eventually taking the laurels in his Hyundai Accent WRC after a rally long battle with Steve Perez and Paul Bird.
