Petter Solberg competed in the WRC rounds Greece and Turkey with a broken rib

Posted by Scott Coursey 7 July, 2008

Petter Solberg has just revealed to crash.net that he competed in Greece and Turkey whilst suffering from a broken rib. The break was only diagnosed after Turkey as Solberg had been complaining of pain. This resulted in Petter having to alter his training programme but he now states he is back to full training and is fighting fit for Finland.

Petter also said that he feels the S14 has great potential and is working well due to better COG and weight distribution particularly at high speed where he feels the car is well balanced. He went on to add that the team are after victories this year and that would remain the aim. Petter finished second in Greece on the S14's debut and sixth in Turkey and with the knowledge now of his injury that makes those results even more remarkable, particularly the Acropolis result. Petters next event will be the Shackleton Charity Festival in Northern Ireland.
