Petter Solberg has entered Rally Norway but has yet to confirm what car or team he will be in. He was, according to motorsport.no, scheduled to announce his plans yesterday, but it is thought that this was delayed because of a possible last minute deal with Citroen for Rally Norway.
Unconfirmed reports from the Sigdalsrally yesterday suggest that Solberg will drive a Citroen in Norway and be nominated for points, alongside Sebastien Loeb, in place of Dani Sordo. Solberg, however, refuses to comment on any speculation.
Solberg commented while in Monte Carlo to motorsport.no:
There are many balls in the air at the minute and I am working on several fronts, with sponsors, to provide a car and getting a place in a team. It continues almost around the clock and it is not easy.
I came home yesterday after a few days in England, where I was, among other things, at the Autosport International Show and had several meetings. Tomorrow, it is full speed again to get something in place.
I will not comment on anything I am working on, so we will see what happens. I have registered for Rally Noway and even paid the entry fee, but I do not know in what car and even if I will start at all. I can at least tell all my fans that I am doing everything that's in my power to start in a competitive car."
