Pedro Meireles is seriously contemplating using a Skoda Fabia S2000 in 2009

Portuguese driver Pedro Meireles is said to be looking at using a Fabia Super 2000 next year according to autosport.cz. Meirless campaigned a VW Golf G60 Rallye in the nineties for the VW Portuguese importer on Portuguese national and International events.

More recently he used a Polo S1600 then more recently an ex-Miguel Campos Subaru N12B. He had contemplated a VW Polo S2000 for this season but now appears to be focusing on a Fabia super 2000 for next year.

Orlando Teixeira, director of the Portuguese importer for Skoda, confirmed that they are interested to run a car for Meireles, and that he and Meireles are heading out to Mlada Bolesva, in the Czech Republic, for negotiations with Skoda Motorsport representatives in the coming days.
