Opel Corsa S2000 new photos of the finished machine at MSD

A new image has emerged of the Opel Corsa OPC Super 2000 sitting outside MSD headquaters in Milton Keynes.
The car will use the same engine as the Vauxhall Vectra in the BTCC and the transmission will be the Xtrac one currently used by the MG. The car should be homologated on October 1st and has already completed a number of test and shakedown sessions.
The debut of the car is still unclear though it could run as a course car on the Cork 20 later this month with Austin MacHale behind the wheel, (the other two MacHale's are competing on the event in their Focus') as the MacHale's are believed to have been involved in the devolopment work of the car. It is also believed that Gareth MacHale may contest next year's IRC in one of the MSD machines.
German driver Horst Rotter is expected to drive the car on a German event this year, though it is not clear when. Rotter will probably contest an event, in the Corsa, as a course car to begin with as the machine may not make it's competitive debut until the begining of next year.
