Omloop van Vlaanderen Rally 2008 Final Results: Paul Lietaer wins as Tsjoen retires from a safe first place

Paul Lietaer won the Tour of Flanders Rally after runaway leader Pieter Tsjoen retired with engine problems today. Tsjoen had been in a league of his own on his comeback rally driving the Ford Focus 05 WRC and held an overnight lead of over a minute, until his demise this morning.

Melissa Debackere, in the Corolla WRC, scored an impressive second overall to put her second in the Belgian Rally Championship and in with a clear chance to lift the crown. There was a good battle between Snijers, Munster and Casier with Munster grabbing third by 10s from Snijers in fourth. Casier took fifth in the RGRS VW Polo S2000.
