Sebastien Ogier has been confirmed for Wales Rally GB in a PH-Sport Citroen C4 WRC

Rallye-magazin.de has confirmed that the 2008 JWRC champion Sebastian Ogier will take part on Wales Rally GB in a C4 run by PH-Sport.

The drive has come about with assistance from the organisers of the Tour de Corse, the FFSA and Citroen Sport.

Ogier commented:

A great opportunity and more like an early Christmas gift for me.The Wales Rally GB is one of the most demanding races of the season and I'll  and want to learn as much as possible."

Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel couldn't confirm a 2009 WRC programme yet for Ogier:

For his achievements this year we reward him, with the FFSA, with a deployment in the WRC. There is nothing decided where the 2009 season is concerned. With the deployment in Wales, we see how Sebastien reacts in the WRC and this will give him another opportunity to demonstrate his ability."

Quesnel added:

Of course he will feel the pressure, but everything I ask of him is possible. Then after we see what it means for opportunities in the future. "
