Rinaldo Capello scored his fifth victory at the Monza Rally Show today, aboard a Citroen C4 WRC. The factory Audi driver defeated MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi who had to be content with second place in the Monster Energy-backed Ford Focus WRC after having to recover from a costly spin whilst leading the ecent.
Fabio Babini had been in second spot for most of the event but eventually finished 3rd overall following a wrong tyre choice he made for his Subaru Impreza S12, though he did beat former double world rally champion Marcus Gronholm who brought the S14 Impreza home in 4th place.
Meanwhile, Capello also claimed the Master Show finale event by defeating Alessandro Perico's Citroen C4 WRC.
