Andreas Mikkelsen was apparently quicker than Sebastien Loeb and set a new Citroen record on the test stages in France

According to motorsport.no, French sources have claimed that Andreas Mikkelsen set a new record on the gravel test in the south of France, and was quicker than Sebastien Loeb over the asphalt test stage.
Mikkelsen was testing with the PH Sport team and used both Rautenbach and Aava's cars on the gravel and asphalt roads.
These test roads in the south of France are used regularly by Citroen Sport and Mikkelsen stated he was happy with his testing performance:
I was surprised with how stiff the car was on gravel but it is something I would get used to if we use the Citroen next year. After testing the Citroen on tarmac I know we have no chance in the Focus for France and Spain. The engine is much stronger in the C4 and I think the Focus is much slower when compared."
Mikkelsen states he is tempted by the C4:
I guess I am tempted to run with Citroen. The car was just completely insane. In the Focus I change gears at 6000 revs, in the Citroen I was changing at between 7000 and 8000 revs. At the start I thought I would kill the car, but they said to give it more gas."
Mikkelsen will meet SWRT this Wednesday to look at an option of running in a third SWRT car next year.

Hummm… Andreas was really fast, but I think it’s impossible to know if he was quicker than Loeb because Loeb never use this track.
About the gravel stage, it’s rare that this stage is used by WRC and there is lot of configurations, so strage to talk about a record…
