Kris Meeke was delighted to win Rally (Brazil) Internacional de Curitiba and described it as probably the best rally he has ever competed on.
The win signifies the return of a UK driver to the top step of the podium on a world class International rally for the first time since the days of Colin McRae and Richard Burns. It is also a major sporting achievement for Northern Ireland, the part of the UK where Meeke hails from.
Kris describes his delight at winning:
It's been a fantastic event, probably the best rally I have ever done!
This is one of the best rallies I have ever experienced. From start to finish, it was simply awesome. The stages are just incredible: so enjoyable to drive. I had a really good feeling with the car and the team and at the end of it we got the perfect result.
