Peugeot UK's Kris Meeke was fastest on the ninth stage of Rally Scotland to lead Guy Wilks by 19.6 seconds with four stages left to run.

Alister McRae is still a comfortable third in the Proton, while David Bogie is back up to fourth place and just 1 second ahead of Jonny Greer in a final day battle of the Evos.

The crews are now heading into the montrous 20.82 miles of Loch Ard.

Car #. DRIVER NAME/CO-DRIVER NAME

12: Kaspar Koitla/Andres Ots

“Feeling is good; those two stages had very good grip and we are fighting hard.”

26: Martin Kangur/Kuldar Sikk

“I feel OK but I am driving a bit slowly in there. It is not difficult, it’s just that Kaspar is very fast this morning.”

11: Eamonn Boland/MJ Morrissey

“Not too bad, an OK run. First stage this morning was slippy but we are pushing - pushing to go home!”

14: Jock Armstrong/Kirsty Riddick

“No mistakes but I just need to build my confidence up again. There are bumps and crests in there but I haven’t scared myself.”

5: David Bogie/Kevin Rae

“The first stage this morning was hard – we had two small offs and the Autolec cost us time. But we’re still here so we’re happy enough. This stage was safe enough with not too many places to catch you out, but the traction was good so we’re happy enough.”

7: Jonathan Greer/Dai Roberts

“Very muddy I thought and hard to know where the grip levels were which knocked our confidence a little bit. We dropped the wheel into a ditch on a little moment there but were cautious and managed to carry on.”

10: Alister McRae/Bill Hayes

“Now we have the gear cut problems we find it hard to push, so maybe now is the time to consolidate and not push – we’re in no mans lands now which is not nice but we’ll try our hardest after Service.”

2: Guy Wilks/Philip Pugh

“This stage was a lot more slippy than the last one. We’re not getting too over-excited and just want to get through the next stage with no problems. We are concentrating on the car and that’s the most important thing.”

1: Kris Meeke/Paul Nagle

“It felt reasonable. No mistakes in there and steady in the middle of the road. We’ve pretty much gained back what we lost in the last stage.”

16: Sebastien Rousseaux/Serge Legars

“I am looking for a good run and a good feeling today. It felt good in there.”

25: Tom Cave/Craig Parry

“Quite tricky in there and a couple of notes which weren’t right so we took it easy.”

18: Donnie MacDonald/Paul Beaton

“We are just trying to get a finish, we have no power and no boost, with no traction to pull us out of the corners.”

23: Kris Hall/Robbie Durant

Reported off in stage

21: Craig Breen/Gareth Roberts

“There were a few tricky points in there. Kris (Hall) has put himself off in the stage which is a shame as I was pacing myself against him. For my sake I hope he gets back on!”

19: Richard Nicoll/Robert Lumgair

“I enjoyed that, aye. The car’s going great, handling well and braking perfectly. I am erring on the cautious side but having a great time.”

15: William Bonniwell/Neil Ewing

No comments from crew

17: Euan Thorburn/Andy Richardson

“Quite slippy at the start but we got a good feeling in the car and pushed as well as we could.”
