Manufacturer Teams planning to contest next year's WRC will only have to eight events to be eligible for manufacturer championship points. This is due to there only being twelve rounds in the calendar for 2009. This could entice more teams to sign up to the championship. Teams have had to commit to ten rounds in the last few seasons to score points. So far, the Adapta WRT have indicated they will be a MT next year while Subaru and Citroen are thought to be entering "B" teams. Though according to Motorsport News the Adapta WRT is the Subaru "B" and there is only one seat available which is a third one in the full works team. This apparently is the seat Wilks is chasing with his share option, "Back the Brit" campaign.
