Bruno Magalhaes will not be contesting Rallye Monte Carlo ‘09

Peugeot Portugal driver Bruno Magalhaes will not be contesting Rallye Monte Carlo due to a lack of necessary funds, according to autosport.aeiou.pt.  

Bruno Magalhaes (reigning Portuguese champion) had been mooted for an  entry on the Monte to kick off a mini Intercontinental Rally Challenge programme in 2009, but that will not now happen. The team still want to do some rounds of the IRC with the Peugeot 207 S2000 but at the present time everything is unclear, a team spokesman was quoted as saying.

The Peugeot Portugal team will now have to wait a little longer before a programme can be announced for the season ahead.
