Sebastien Loeb has hailed Kris Meeke as a future world champion following a passenger ride with the Northern Irishman in the Peugeot 207 S2000 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, according to Motorsport News.
Five-time world champ Loeb returned the favour and gave Meeke a run in his Citroen C4 WRC on the 1.5km Goodwood Forest Rally Stage.

Loeb said to MN:
Kris is very fast and I didn't see a big difference in the way he drives compared to my style.
He is definitely a future world champion!

Meeke commented, after being driven by Loeb in the car he helped develop:
It was the most relaxed I have ever been in a rally car.
He makes it look incredibly simple and it's good to know he was impressed with me because I know I am moving in the right direction with my own driving.
The comments by Loeb come shortly after Marc van Dalen's ringing endorsement of Meeke following the Ypres Rally, when the Kronos team boss said that it will be very difficult for anyone to beat the Peugeot UK driver on the remaining IRC events this season.
