Jari-Matti Latvala Ford WRT gravel test roll video in the southwest of France

Ford have been testing this week in the southwest of France ahead of Rally Japan and Wales Rally GB.
According to www.wrcisfree.com Mikko was testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Jari (returning to the senior squad after two outings for Stobart) took over on Thursday and Friday. M-Sport were mainly focusing on suspension and diff settings during the four days.
It was wet on Thursday evening and Friday giving Jari the opportunity to test in wet and dry conditions though he suffered an off during the session when he was completing his last run using dry settings just as the conditions became wet on the Thusday evening.
Latvala rolled the car during the test after hitting a rock causing bodywork and front left suspension damage, resulting in much frantic action by the M-Sport mechanics having to replace the right hand door, windscreen, bumper etc etc. It was a low speed accident and the car landed on its wheels after the roll. Latvala though, has a history of hitting stones in Japan so must hope he has got that out of his system during the test.
Latvala was pleased and surprised by his recent asphalt pace in the Stobart Structo Focus after securing a career best finish on a sealed surface event in Corsica with fourth.
Latvala joked at the end of the second day in Corsica:
I've finally taken the hanbrake off on tarmac."
