Renault Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica will contest this month's Rallye Monte Carlo in a Renault Clio R3, according to autosport.com.
The Automobile Club de Monaco confirmed they had received an entry from Kubica before yesterday's closing date.
Kubica, who will be co-driven by fellow Pole Jakub Gerber, has already contested a few rallies in recent months driving a Renault Clio and finished a creditible 29th overall on the Rallye du Var, an event which uses some Monte stages.
Speaking prior to competing on Rallye du Var, Kubica commented: "I'm interested in all categories of motorsport and I particularly like rally," said Kubica. "It's a very demanding and spectacular category and I have been thinking about participating in a rally for quite a while so joining the Renault F1 Team has created the perfect opportunity to try this out.
“It’s no secret that I like rallying so I try this for fun. Also, there is time in the Formula One winter break to do this [Monte Carlo],” he added.
