Kevin Lynch back to winning ways as he takes his Subaru S12b to victory on the ALMC Stages Rally

Kevin Lynch was back in the groove after a convincing win on the ALMC Stages in his KPL S12b which is just recently back from Prodrive, following the crash in Killarney. Lynch was never headed on the nine stage event and now looks toward his own Shackleton Festival Rally in two weeks time where a certain Petter Solberg will also pilot the KPL S12B.

Kenny McKinstry was second overall on the ALMC rally in a Subaru S8 but felt he was driving it like the MK2 Escort he was using the day before in Loughgall. Last year's winner Paddy White suffered from a slipping clutch all day and retired after SS6. Damien Tourish won the Irish Evo challenge while Trevor Mulligan was the top two wheel drive man driving an Escort into 6th o/a. Colm Murphy started well in the Evo9 and was 3rd after six stages but then had differential trouble on SS7 and a crash on SS8 which saw him eventually finish 63rd.
