Ken Block will use an ex-Hannu Mikkola works 'Eaton Yale' Escort on the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally this Saturday the 27th September. The car will be resplendent in the Eaton Yale livery.

Mikkola won the RAC in '78 and '79 using Eaton Yale liveried machine's which were registered as SJN 830R and WTW 569S respectively. It isn't clear exactly which machine Block will use but it is thought to be the 1978 registered one.

Meanwhile, John Buffum will be using a Prepfab Porsche 911 RS on the McRae Stages reg. 700 PXR. It's the car Jimmy McRae used on the Astra Stages 2006 and has been fully rebuilt. The car will be sponsored by Kumho and be in a white livery with Kumho displayed in red lettering.

Some other Colin McRae Stages news:

Richard Cathcart has withdrawn his entry to enable the car's owner, Aiden Toner, to use it instead. Cathcart had toyed with the idea of using his father's Roger Clark 1972 winning Mk1 Escort, which is now in it's 1972 Scottish Rally colours, but felt it wasn't worth risking the priceless machine.
