Automobilklub Karkonoski and Lausitz Cup Team kindly invite all competitors  and motorsports enthusiasts to 24 Karkonoski Rally in Polen.

The event will take place at second weekend of July, from 10 to 11 of July 2009. The rally will be based in Jelenia Góra, the city which is administrative, touristic and economic centre of the region and capital city of  „NYSA” Euroregion,  which unites border regions of  Poland, Germany and Czech Republic. Jelenia Góra is located in the valley of Bóbr and Kamienna rivers.

Jelenia Góra, called the Pearl of Karkonosze, is surrounded by mountain ranges and has age-old tradition and numerous monuments. The unique character of the city is underlined by its districts: the old town is getting prettier every year, Cieplice - the oldest Polish spa (unique hot springs found in 1175 by the duke Bolesław Wysoki), ruins of the XIV century Chojnik castle in Sobieszów and well known resort Jagniątków, made famous by the Noble Prize winner Gerhart Hauptmann. Jelenia Góra is located 60 km from German border and merely 25 from Czech Republic.

The location of the rally is fabulous. The route leads throgh picturesque, mountaneous areas. 

Rajd Karkonoski is 4th round of Polish Rally Championship, 5th round of Polish Rally Cup and 2nd round of Lausitz Cup. Participants of  Polish Rally Championship round, as well as Polish Rally Cup round may take part in Lausitz Cup and score in both classifications.

Lausitz Cup will run at six special stages on Saturday. The stages are difficult but yet enjoyable to drive. The crowning of the rally struggle will be a spectacular special stage located in the very centre of Zabobrze district, a so called bedroom of Jelenia Góra. The 2.5 km long stage will run twice and will be an excellent arena for rally fans to admirde skills of all drivers taking part in Rajd Karkonoski .

The rally consists of two legs which will take place on Satruday and Sunday. There is 158 kilometres within 10 special stagesand the total length of the rally is 477 kilometres. The surface of 98% competitive kilometres is tarmac . The longest stages are Wleń (22.09 km) and Podgórzyn (19.31km).

The length of the total route for Lausitz Cup crews is 255 km, which includes 75.26 km within six special stages.

Rally Headquarters will be located in „Relaks” hotel in Karpacz. Service Park will be located at Jelenia Góra airport area. The official start ceremony, likewise last year, will take place at historical market place in Jelenia Góra. The rally press office will be open of Friday in Karpacz and on Saturday it will be moved to Service Park, which will be a facilitation for journalists.

The drivers shall be holders of valid „R”, „R1” licences and co-drivers shall hold  „R2”,”R1”,”R” or ”P” licence.
The entrance fee in the amount of EUR 300 shall be paid into the account of automobilklub.

In accordance with provisions of Lausitz Cup regulations  the OPEN classes division is as follows:
GROUP 1 up to 1000 ccm
GROUP 2 from 1001 – 1400 ccm
GROUP 3 from 1401 – 1600 ccm
GROUP 4 from 1601 – 2000 ccm
GROUP 5 from 2001 ccm

Drivers of A-8, Super 2000, Super 1600, R2C and R3C cars shall be holders of R licence.
