International Rally Drivers Association regarding the new scores and coefficients of the Year 2010 for the Rally Ranking of Drivers and Co-drivers.
The IRDA (International Rally Drivers Association) communicates that, starting from January 1st 2010, a new Ranking Regulation is coming into force with the new formalities of assignment of scores for the year 2010; the update ranking will be visible on the website from Monday, on 18th of January.
The variations of the year 2010 are:
• The Ranking will consider all the scores obtained in the competitions of the year 2009, the same scores will be update according to the new score criterions of the year 2010. In accordance with regulation in the year 2010, every week, it will be added the points of the new competitions, points obtained for each every single driver and co-driver, but contemporarily it will be taken away those points regarding the same week in 2009
• In order to assign points it will be considered to the first 30 drivers and the first 30 co-drivers of the official final classifications, and so giving the possibility of getting points also to drivers and co-drivers that generally take part in competitions and whose cars belongs to smaller classes.
• IRDA has just eliminated Rallysprint category in consequence to the abolition by ACI CSAI.
• In the year 2010, FIA and ACI CSAI have introduced three new categories of rally races: SWRC that is to say the valid competitions for the Worldwide Championship Rally by the Super 2000 race cars, Italian Rally Championship “Production”, Italian Rally Championship Junior.
Consequently the IRDA will provide the new following coefficients:
Valid Rallies for the World Championship FIA (WRC) Coefficient15;
Valid Rallies for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) Coefficient10;
Valid Rallies for the Italian Championship (CIR) Coefficient 9;
Valid Rallies for World Championship FIA Super 2000 (SWRC) Coefficient 8;
Valid Rallies for the European Championship (ERC) Coefficient 8;
Valid Rallies for the World Championship Production (PWRC) Coefficient 8;
Valid Rallies for Continental Championships FIA Coefficient 8;
Valid Rallies for the World Championship Junior (JWRC) Coefficient 7;
Valid Rallies for the Italian Championship Production Coefficient 7;
Valid Rallies for the Italian Championship Junior Coefficient 6;
Valid Rallies for TRA, TRT and IRCUP Coefficient 4;
International Rallies without validity Coefficient 4;
Foreign Rallies including valid rally races for the CEZ, Mitropa Cup and FIA Cups Coefficient 4;
Valid Rallies for the Finals of the Italian Cup Coefficient 3;
Valid Rallies for Zone Challenges Coefficient 2;
National Rallies without FIA title and Ronde Coefficient 1.
