More news regarding the homologation of the Proton Satria Neo S2000
The reason for the delay in the Proton Satria Neo S2000 was due to new gear ratios being made available by Xtrac, according to GPWEEK.com. The FIA advised the team to hold on for a month so the homologation papers are correct. The papers were ready to be issued on July 1st but the team took the FIA's advice and will wait until August 1st for homologation to be granted.
Chris Mellors states that the team weren't due to be running the car competitively until August or September anyway and only system checks have been carried out but full testing will commence now. The test driver is likely to be one of the new customers as this was intimated by Mellors. No date or event was forthcoming about the car's competitive debut.
