Video clip from wrc.com of Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lethinen onboard, in their Ford Focus WRC, during the Glenboy stage of Rally Ireland 2009, which was the opening round of this year's FIA World Rally Championship.
Hirvonen found the event to be one of the most difficult he had ever competed in and decided very early on to drive for points rather than push for victory in the atrocious conditions. He would eventually finish the rally in 3rd place overall.
Commenting after SS4 of Rally Ireland 2009, Hirvonen said: “He [Loeb] found some speed in there - we were a little ahead on the early split but it looks like he found a good rhythm later,” he explained. “That’s all I can do at the moment. If I can’t fight against him I need to get some points so I need to be a little bit careful.”
