Mikko Hirvonen will run as zero car on November's Rally of Scotland in the new Ford Fiesta S2000, giving the car its first public outing, according to Motorsport News.
Matthew Wilson will give the M-Sport development car a shakedown in Cumbria next week prior to its first gravel run in October.
M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson said: "We want to get it into the forests as quickly as we can so it's ready for customers as soon as possible. The car's coming along well and it's exciting."
Meanwhile, Marcus Gronholm has been linked to an entry on IRC Rallye Monte Carlo 2010 in a Fiesta S2000, according to reports in the French media recently. Markko Martin, Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala are also said to be under consideration.
