Mikko Hirvonen has joined former world champions Ari Vatanen, Marcus Gronholm and Miki Biasion by driving some of their favourite stages in order to raise money for the Colin McRae Vision.
In a Ford-backed programme, Hirvonen drove the all-asphalt Great Orme test near Llandudno in Wales on Sunday. The drivers selected the stages - all of which are open roads - and then drove them in a standard Ford Focus ST. All the drivers that took part have donated their fees to the charity set up in memory of Colin McRae.
Hirvonen commented about the Great Orme test:
I remember parts of this stage when I won the Cambrian Rally in 2002. It was great to drive it again and to help the charity."
