Omagh Motor Club Gortin Glen Hill (RTT) 2008 Results: James Gillen wins in his Subaru Impreza WRC

The Gortin Glen Hill Rally Time Trial was held today and was won by Castlederg's  James Gillen driving his ex Colin McRae, 1997 RAC winning, Subaru Impreza WRC (P12 WRC).

John Bustard was second in his Evo 6 with Omagh's Robbie McGurk 3rd in a Group N Subaru. The conditions were atrocious with driving rain and strong winds present all day but surprisingly there were few incidents.

The 1.5km hillclimb course was traversed five times with the competitors best run being counted in the results. There were 45 starters on the event.

This win sets Gillen in good stead for next weekend's Glens of Antrim Rally where he appears at no.5 on the entry list.
