The Jim Clark Rally has thrown up another surprise in stage ten, after leading crew Craig Breen and Gareth Roberts stopped with engine trouble.
The Irishman was understandably disgruntled on the phone reporting that there was no warning of its demise. The car stopped just less than two thirds of the way through the stage and hands the lead to Alastair Fisher.
His lead could be temporary though, as Gwyndaf Evans is on a charge after two punctures cost him time last night. Hoping to break his Jim Clark Rally duck, the veteran was fifteen seconds quicker than Fisher on stage ten, moving to within 1.4 seconds of the top spot.
