ADAC Eifel Rallye 2008 has some interesting WRCars in the entry

The Eifel Rallye, which takes place on 18-19 July 2008, has assembled a good World Rally Car entry being fronted by Mark van Eldik in his Subaru S12 WRC. A number of various Focus WRC's are entered featuring Peter van Merksteijn in his newly aquired 07 Focus, the first in private hands. Gareth Jones is entered in his JCB backed 05 Focus for the first time since Rally Ireland last year, while Wevers, van Merksteijn jr and Denis Kuipers are in 06 examples. Harry Kleinjan is in a Fabia WRC.

Most of these drivers compete in the Euro Challenge which is the brainchild of Erik Wevers but the Eifel Rallye is not a round. Many of the drivers are using the event as a warm up for Rally Germany. Other notable entries who are are preparing for the ADAC Rallye Deutschland include Aaron Burkhart and Sebastien Ogier who will be in a C2 R2 Max on this occassion. Speculation links Ogier to an imminent test drive in a C4. The rally is a round of the DRM and also features the Slowly Sideways Group B cars. There will also be an Ove Andersson parade to commemorate his life and will feature a number of his old cars.
