Francois Duval began testing at the weekend in Corsica for the first time this season as a senior member of the M-Sport squad. Ford will be in Corsica for most of the week with Hirvonen testing today and tomorrow, then it's the turn of the customer cars.
Duval commented on the Corsican test in his website:
I am pleased that I am once again in the factory car. Everything went well and in a day and a half we covered about 350 kilometers. The track was perfect, it was thirty degrees and perfect conditions.
We have tried many settings, but due to high temperatures we went for the hard tires. I have to say that the current set-up is nearly perfect, in any case it's much better than in Germany. It is clear that the Focus 08 is better than the Focus 07, the engine has more torque and is much better at low speed. Now we are in the car I feel much better than in Germany. For the following two rallies I am optimistic, I do everything possible to upset Citroen and try to get as many points for Ford. "
