Patrick Elliott (pictured above) and Paul Goodman were declared the winners of the Clare Stages 08 following a hearing last night.
Their win on Sunday was only provisional following a protest from another competitor alleging they booked into a time control 9 minutes early. With the protest being overthrown it now means that Paul Goodman is the 2008 Irish National co-driving champion.
Elliott had secured the drivers' title on the previous round and it now means the two of them can have a go on the next round, the Donegal Harvest Rally, without having to worry about championship concerns in their Subaru S12b. Though they may face some stiff opposition as it is rumoured that Garry Jennings might be out in an S12b in preparation for Rally Ireland, according to rallynews.net.
