Bulldog Rally 2008 Results: Marcus Dodd wins to record historic fourth MSA Gravel Rally Championship title

Marcus Dodd claimed his fourth ANCRO Pirelli Gravel Rally Championship title after winning the Bulldog Rally in Wales driving an Hyundai Accent WRC.
Dodd won the championship by one point from Jon Ingram who was forced to skip the event to look after his sick wife. Dodd dominated the event and took three fastest stage times out of the six to win the rally by 32.2s from Steve Perez in his Focus WRC. He had a scare though on the last stage where he broke a hub but managed to get the car through the test.
Julian Reynolds, driving a Subaru WRC, took 3rd ahead of Group N winner Nik Elsmore in his Evo. Daniel Barry secured fifth with Neil McCance sixth.
David Bogie won the Evo Challenge with a careful drive to 10th overall and he also secured the Production Cup in the process. He will drive a works Mitsubishi Evo X on Rally GB as his prize.
One unlucky retirement was Keith Cronin who was lying second O/A when he crashed his Evo 9 on SS3.
Bulldog Rally winner Marcus Dodd happy to win another ANCRO championship:
It's been an up and down season but we're here and I'm delighted with today's victory and with the championship win."
