Coltness Car Club have confirmed that Ken Block will be coming over to the 2009 Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally and he will be bringing both his Subaru rally car and stunt car with him.
Block will also be doing some promotional work for the new DiRT 2 computer game, and there is a possibility that he might be doing something for ‘Top Gear’. As part of the DiRT2 promotion there will be a challenge on the Friday night at Perth Racecourse to try and beat a time set bya certain Kris Meeke!
Corgi Models are going to be at Perth Racecourse and they will be launching the first of a series of 14 model cars to commemorate Colin’s career, starting with a model of the 1275 Mini which he autotested when he was 16. The actual car will be there too, taking part in an autotest demonstration.
Another car which will be featured in the Corgi ‘McRae Collection’ will be Colin’s three door Ford Sierra Cosworth from 1989, and Jimmy McRae hopes to be driving this car on the event.
