Bjorn Waldegard is the latest name confirmed for the McRae Stages which takes place in September. Waldegard will pilot a Francis Tuthill Porsche 911 on the event. The rally is certainly shaping up to be the event of the year with quite a number of stars confirmed and many still to be added.
Names so far confirmed are; Ari Vatanen Mk11, Stig Blomqvist Mk11, Hannu Mikkola MK11, Russell Brookes Sunbeam, Jimmy McRae Mk2 or Porsche, Alister McRae Mk11, Louise Aitken-Walker possibly a Chevette or Astra, Andrew Cowan Imp, Malcolm Wilson Mk2 and Phil Collins Ascona.
Other likely entries include; Petter Solberg, Mikko Hirvonen Mk 2, Markku Alen, Marcus Gronholm etc.
Nicky Grist will navigate Mikkola while Dave Richards will sit with Vatanen
The event will be supported by Jardine, Lloyd and Thompson who are also sponsoring Waldegard in the Porsche.
