Didier Auriol to drive Grifone 207 S2000 on Rallye Monte Carlo as Luca Rossetti set to sign for Abarth in ‘09

Didier Auriol is set to enter the Monte Carlo Rally in a Grifone prepared Peugeot 207 S2000, according to autosport.cz.
Autosport.cz report that Eurosport have officially confirmed that Auriol, at 50 years of age, will compete on the IRC Rallye Monte Carlo in the Grifone 207. Auriol contested several IRC events last year in a Grifone Punto but suffered numerous reliability problems.
Meanwhile, reigning ERC and CIR champion Luca Rossetti is set to sign for the factory Abarth team, driving a Punto S2000, to contest the Italian championship as team-mate to Umberto Scandola. Last season Rossetti was driving a Peugeot 207 S2000 for Racing Lions, he has spent most of his career in Peugeot cars.

Rossetti is likely to enter the IRC's opening round Monte Carlo and he may also contest Brazil, as he and a number of teams will sit out the first two rounds of the CIR - Rally del Ciocco Rally and the 1000 Miglia - in protest to the number of events on the calendar.
