The footage this time comes from the tail end of the 1985 season and the start of 1986, featuring the Ivory Coast, RAC, Monte Carlo and the tragic Rallye de Portugal.

One of the most controversial moments in Audi's rally history occurred on the 1985 Ivory Coast Rally. Audi sent Michele Mouton to Africa to enable her to gain a FISA A seeding for 1986. The plan backfired spectacularly because the German marque were accused of swapping the chase car with the rally car when Mouton's short wheelbase quattro developed cylinder head troubles. The car was later retired from the event and the accusations were never proved.
