Experienced Rally crew Richard Archer and John Connor eagerly anticipate the start of this year’s NGK British Rally Championship Challenge (BRCC) on Rallye Sunseeker based in Bournemouth.
Archer and Connor formed a partnership last year, making an impressive debut on their first event together, only to cut their season short with a high speed crash whilst leading the Ulster Challenge Rally on the final stage in Northern Ireland.
Archer from Downham Market in Norfolk has massive experience and is a multiple event winner, whilst co-driver Connor from Halesowen in the West Midlands, is a former BRCC champion.
The BRCC follows the International British Rally Championship across six events in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Wizard Motorsport / Pirelli Tyres and Hayburn Rock Associates Ltd supported, ex works Super 1600 Opel Corsa has been fully rebuilt over the winter and the crew can’t wait to start the season on the Dorset based event.
“This is a very busy time for the team on the lead in to the start of the season, the car has been fully rebuilt and we now are itching to get underway. I have won two of these rallies out right including the Scottish round three times. I hope that this year we can keep it all together and win the £7000 prize fund towards next year’s International British Rally Championship” said East Anglian based Archer.
“Richard is one of the faster drivers I have sat with so I am sure I am going to be kept on my toes this year” said Midlands based Connor. “We both have good knowledge of all the events but we can’t underestimate some tough competition from other crews in this year’s Championship.”
