Andreas Mikkelsen had his first test session today driving the PH-Sport Citroen C4 WRC in France

Andreas Mikkelsen got his first taste of Citroen WRC power today at the PH-Sport test in the south of France. Mikkelsen was testing on asphalt and gravel today, using Rautenbach's car on the tar and Aava's on the loose.
The morning session was on tar and Mikkelsen likened the car to a go-kart, (see www.wrcisfree.com for further analysis) then in the afternoon he was on the gravel and was said to be quite spectacular. He says the choice of which car he will use next year will be a difficult one.
Meanwhile, it appears Red Bull may not be backing a Citroen Sport "B" team next year as they just want to concentrate on supprting the main works team. Olivier Quesnel told Motorsport News that he is still keen to run a B team but it will not be for free. It is estimated that Citroen will need to find about four million Euros to secure a second MT entry for 2009.
