AndersGrondal bilsport.no Anders Grondal looks to be favourite for the second seat in the Adapta SWRT M2 team for 2009 WRC

According to a press release Grondal had a very encouraging meeting with the Adapta Team about running as team mate to Mads Ostberg next year. The Adapta squad will be running as a manufacturer team next year, armed with a pair of Subaru S14 WRCs to the same spec as the works cars.

Grondal, who normally drives an S10 Impreza in the Norwegian Rally Championship, is eager to break into the WRC and very keen to get the second seat with Adapta. He has been doing much training recently to build up his fitness for a WRC assault. He is currently borrowing/renting an Adapta S12B in Norway as his S10 is still at Prodrive after an extensive rebuild following a big accident at a Norwegian hillclimb event a couple of months ago.

If Grondal gets the Adapta drive next year he will keep his original S10 to use as a practice car. Adapta will also keep their two Bosch S12B's to be used as practice and on NRC rounds by the two team drivers, which looks increasingly likely to be Grondal partnering Ostberg.
