The Italian championship round, Rally di Bassano 1986, was won by the Italian rally legend "Lucky" in one of many Lancia Rally 037's that were competing as was the norm then. "Lucky" was in a Volta prepared machine while other Lancia pilots on the rally included: Cunico, Tolfo, Baggio, Rosina, Zenere etc etc.
Biasion was there primarily to set the S4 up for Sanremo a month later. He dominated Sanremo that year until team orders came into play to manipulate the WRC title race, which, ironically, was eventually settled in a courtroom in Paris.
