A Place In The Sun is the story of the 1983 Tour de Corse which concentrates on the battle between Audi and Lancia.
The film pays special attention to the exploits of Tony Pond, in the Bill Blydenstein run Nissan 240 RS, where he manged a creditable 6th overall. The event would also witness the debut of the Audi quattro A2 and the Opel Manta 400 in the hands of Guy Frequelin.
Markku Alen would win driving a Lancia Rally 037 with team-mate Walter Rohrl 2nd as Lancias filled the first four places.
