The Galway Rally achieved International status in 1971 becoming the second event on the island of Ireland to do so (Circuit of Ireland being the first in 1958) and the first in the Irish Republic.
This rather quaint film tells the story of that year's rally in which Cahal Curley, in an Escort TC, gained his first big win in Ireland. Also featured is Billy Coleman in an Escort TC, Robert McBurney in his BMW 2002, Mervyn Johnston driving a Mini and Ronnie White in a Mini as well.
