New videos to YouTube of the 1985 1000 Lakes Rally Finland once again uploaded from the vast library of dgr64.
The rally that year was a perfect showcase for the Group B projectiles with the category at its peak and the Audi quattro Sport S1 stealing the show. All the big guns were competing that year like Markku Alen, Hannu Mikkola, event and championship winner Timo Salonen, Henri Toivonen, Bjorn Waldegard, Stig Blomqvist, Juha Kankkunen, Per Eklund, Pentti Airikkala, Kalle Grundel (deputising for the injured Vatanen), Lasse Lampi etc.
Other vehicles included the Lancia Rally 037 (driven to the max by Alen), Peugeot 205 T16 E2, Toyota Celica TC Turbo, Audi quattro A2 etc.
